THE WITCH & THE WOLF

Hagar's final project at Shenkar College, a large scale installation for children about the fears in fairytales. As a child, Hagar was afraid of the dark and especially midnight. She discovered this fear originated from Cinderella and found out that many of the fairytales we read to our children before bed, were once darker and scarier. Using her knowledge in art history to display the balance between scary and naive, the two inspirations for the project are on the one hand, gothic and medieval art and on the other, art nouveau.

This installation is a gate to a fantastic world in which fears are shown and not hidden for all children.
